No Nukes

Academy Award winning film producer Lawrence Bender unveiled a new activist film about nukes and Cannes this week. My first student activist group that I founded was for nuclear disarmament in the early 1980’s. I was in middle school. While I would love a world without nukes – and this film makes the point that a nuke in the hand of even responsible parties is dangerous – I cannot imagine Israel without the nuke deterrent. Please Gd, someday, we will be there.
